QA/QC Engineer – Construction (Class 3)

About the role

An established construction and engineering company is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and control activities on major infrastructure projects. The role involves regular site inspections, coordination with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site and batching plant inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor and enforce QA/QC procedures throughout all construction stages.
• Ensure waterproofing works meet project specifications and SOPs.
• Identify and rectify non‑conformance issues through inspections, quality checks and testing.
• Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports and checklists.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on QA/QC matters.
• Coordinate material inspections, testing requirements and proper storage of construction materials.
• Support internal and external ISO audits and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Good knowledge of construction quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and hold a Class 3 driving licence.
