QC Specialist – Sample Management

About the role

Lonza is hiring a QC Specialist focused on sample management at its Tuas site in Singapore. The role coordinates and manages QC samples (receipt, retention, shipment), oversees the archival of QC documents on- and off-site, and helps coordinate equipment maintenance and the revision of related procedures. It works closely with other departments to ensure samples and results are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage QC samples, including receipt, storage, shipment and discard
• Control and audit retained samples of process and raw materials
• Coordinate Sample Logistics documentation and QC assay sheet issuance
• Manage and coordinate on-site and off-site archival of QC documents
• Write, maintain, edit and review Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain data and records in line with regulatory requirements and SOPs
• Contribute to operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant chemistry or science field, or equivalent
• Relevant experience and accomplishments that determine the final position level
• Well versed in cGMP regulations
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, good communication skills, and a strong team player
