QEM PQE Quality Engineer - Memory Products

About the role

Micron is hiring a QEM PQE Quality engineer for its Fab10 facility. You will monitor and drive continuous improvement of the quality and reliability of advanced memory and storage products, supporting wafer manufacturing efforts for developing, validating, characterizing and qualifying new products. The role also covers root cause analysis of reliability failures and customer returns, and implementing Fab specifications and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve quality and reliability of products out of Fab, including wafer-level reliability sampling for outgoing quality control.
• Collect wafer-level reliability data, manage reliability scorecards and drive fab activities to improve extrinsic, intrinsic and process reliability.
• Ensure quality indicators such as OQRM, probe, parametric and inline metrics are in place and meet goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality metrics such as product grades and high stack eligibility.
• Act as fab representative to resolve customer issues and RMA cases, and support risk assessment for excursion materials with the Global Quality team on the MRB process.
• Manage follow-on qualification activities during high-volume manufacturing and help meet critical product milestones with global teams.
• Lead or participate in site quality programs and defense line initiatives, and build partnerships with Global Quality and PE teams.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Material Science, Physics or Applied Science.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and to multi-task complex projects.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to build peer relationships.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron.

Required skills

• Good understanding of CMOS device physics (added advantage).
• Knowledge of NAND device operation (added advantage).
• Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly.
