Qualified Person – Structural Supervision (Singapore)

About the role

Arup is looking for a Qualified Person – Supervision (Structural/Civil) to ensure construction works in Singapore meet approved plans, statutory requirements and Arup’s technical standards while protecting public safety and design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site inspections in line with Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Guidelines for Qualified Person (Supervision).
• Verify compliance of structural, geotechnical and architectural works with approved drawings and regulations.
• Identify, document and escalate non‑conformances, providing technical advice as needed.
• Maintain accurate supervision records and produce weekly reports summarising observations, risks and actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, resident engineers and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Degree recognised by the Professional Engineers Board and registration with BCA and JAC (IES & ACES).
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising structural, geotechnical and architectural works under BCA guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore civil and structural regulations and building codes.
• Excellent communication, coordination and documentation skills.
