Quality Control Technician

About the role

The company, a global industrial metals supplier, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join its Singapore operations. The role acts as the local quality representative, overseeing inspection and testing of raw materials such as tubes and bars and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming/receiving inspection and sign‑off according to SAS procedures.
• Conduct in‑process inspection and sign‑off following established work instructions.
• Carry out final inspection and sign‑off to certify product readiness.
• Report non‑conformances and collaborate with regional leadership in Singapore and quality teams in Texas to implement corrective actions.
• Visit customer facilities to investigate and resolve quality‑related issues.
• Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and verified.
• Assist with corrective‑action implementation, training and any additional inspection tasks as required.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in a quality role supporting oil & gas related raw material handling (bars, mechanical tube, OCTG tubing/casing).
• Hands‑on experience with portable Brinell hardness testing and reviewing material test reports/certifications.
• Proficiency using measurement tools such as tape measures, micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to follow SAS inspection procedures and work instructions.
