Quality Engineer Assistant

About the role

The Quality Engineer Assistant supports project execution and ensures product quality throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to track progress, perform inspections, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate execution of project plans and monitor timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to track internal and external quality deliverables.
• Perform dimensional and geometrical measurements of components and approve parts for the next process.
• Review inspection results, compile quality metric reports, and present summaries to customers.
• Assist in CAPA implementation, manage CAR analysis, and investigate NC parts.
• Identify improvement opportunities in QMS processes and support workflow enhancements.
• Support the manager with failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, and SPC methodologies.
• Prepare and present monthly QA performance reports.

Required profile

• ITE/Diploma in Mechanical or Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, precision engineering, and quality‑assurance environments.
• Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume production settings.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, mechanical drawing, and GD&T.

Required skills

• Use of measuring instruments: caliper, micrometer, profile projector.
• OGP SmartScope program operation.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• CAPA, 8D, root‑cause analysis, failure analysis.
• FMEA and SPC methodology.
• Dimensional and geometrical measurement, inspection, and data analysis.
