Quality Inspector - Aircraft Components

About the role

Pratt & Whitney Singapore, part of RTX, is recruiting a Technician (Quality Inspector) for its Component Repair site at 61 Seletar Aerospace View. The role involves inspecting aircraft component parts and ensuring repairs meet prescribed standards and procedures. It is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing aircraft component parts.
• Inspect repairable parts at incoming, in-process and final stages against documents and required repairs.
• Ensure parts are repaired according to prescribed standards and procedures.
• Understand inspection tolerances, limitations and procedures set by the manufacturer, and carry out inspections in line with regulatory-approved technical data.
• Run SAP transactions and make changes to work orders in SAP.
• Attend EHS training and take personal responsibility for safety compliance.
• Support continuous improvement programmes and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2 years of experience using inspection equipment and visual inspection aids, or no experience if eager to join the aerospace industry.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Commitment to night shift and overtime as needed.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
• Meticulous attention to detail and hands-on approach.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience, and familiarity with airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
