Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (HSE) Executive

About the role

The HSE Executive will lead the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) functions, ensuring compliance with corporate, statutory and international standards. This senior position works closely with senior management to embed a robust Integrated Management System across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all QHSE activities and maintain third‑party certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Manage new compliance certifications such as BizSafe, NEA and BCA, ensuring their continued validity.
• Develop and control the annual QHSE budget and support sites in executing QHSE programmes.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to set QHSE objectives, targets and related action plans.
• Design and run the company‑wide internal audit programme, ensuring audits meet KJ FEM policies, regulatory and client requirements.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact and report on QHSE compliance.
• Analyse audit findings, incident reports and customer complaints to drive preventive actions.
• Lead the IMS management review process and conduct regular QHSE inspections.
• Deliver QHSE training, organise monthly HSE Committee meetings and attend client‑led site safety meetings.
• Participate in, or lead, risk‑assessment development across the organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing QHSE functions within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proven ability to obtain and maintain certifications such as BizSafe, NEA and BCA.
• Experience budgeting for QHSE activities and leading internal audit programmes.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret audit data and drive continuous improvement.
