Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support our construction projects from tendering through to final account closure. The role involves detailed cost estimation, procurement coordination and progress claim management to ensure projects stay on budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs based on Bill of Quantities and detailed Excel breakdowns.
• Review tender pricing with the manager and attend tender interviews.
• Obtain and follow up quotations from trades, negotiate with suppliers and appoint specialist sub‑contractors.
• Review contract documents, highlight deviations from tender and brief project teams at kick‑off meetings.
• Submit daily/weekly variation order costs, monthly progress claims and final accounts.
• Certify sub‑contractor claims, follow up payment certificates and manage client payments.
• Prepare warranty submissions in line with contractual terms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/M&E Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role in construction.
• Strong analytical, numerical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
