Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the construction and design teams by preparing accurate Bills of Quantities, managing tender processes, and administering contracts with sub‑contractors and suppliers. This role requires strong analytical abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, take off quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Liaise with construction and design teams to compile documents for Request for Quotation (RFQ).
• Source potential sub‑contractors and suppliers, issue RFQs and manage the quotation process.
• Organise, compare, analyse and report on received quotations.
• Coordinate queries and clarifications between tenderers and internal teams during the RFQ stage, including meeting arrangements.
• Assist the QS Manager/Contracts Manager with tender submissions and post‑tender interviews.
• Support quantity measurements, cost estimates, price comparison and negotiation for sub‑contracts.
• Prepare contract documents for awarded sub‑contractors and suppliers.
• Perform contract administration, including payment valuations, variation claims and final account settlement.
• Carry out any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the QS or Contracts Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably with tender exposure.
• Experience in building, HDB, condominium or similar scale projects is advantageous.
• Strong communication, analytical, negotiation and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
