Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage cost estimation and measurement for construction projects, ensuring accurate tender documentation and financial control from initial calculations through to final accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare measurements, cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Develop tender and contract documents and evaluate contractor/sub‑contractor bids.
• Negotiate with contractors where appropriate and monitor project cost overruns.
• Process interim payments, variations and final accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, engineers and subcontractors to track project progress.
• Provide cost analysis and assess the impact of changes on budgets and timelines.
• Perform any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation.
• Knowledge of both civil and architectural aspects of construction is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
