About the role

The Radiography Assistant at NUHS supports patients and radiographers in the radiology department. The role covers basic patient care, assisting with examinations and equipment maintenance, and some administration.

Key responsibilities

Provide basic patient care, such as giving instructions and helping patients with hygiene and personal care, including changing their clothing
Assist doctors or radiographers in examination rooms, for example transferring patients onto the couch, acting as chaperone and preparing patients for radiological procedures
Help the radiographer enter data into the worklist and the Radiology Information System
Perform daily preventive maintenance on general X-ray machines
Handle administration duties and data collection
Maintain the storage of request forms and help retrieve them from storage or the system

Required profile

Minimum N level qualification
WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or its equivalent is preferred
Comfortable interacting with patients
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
