Ramp Agent

About the role

The Ramp Agent ensures safe and efficient ground operations by handling a variety of ground support equipment and supporting aircraft turnaround activities. This position requires strict adherence to safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight schedules at an airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tow tractors, belt loaders, transporters, ULD loaders, passenger steps, ambulifts, main deck loaders and other specialised equipment.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑operation inspections and report any malfunctions immediately.
• Perform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks on aircraft parking stands and keep all equipment free of debris.
• Marshal aircraft manually or via the Aircraft Docking Guidance System (ADGS) and manage wheel chocks and safety cones.
• Load and unload cargo, assist with passenger loading bridge (PLB) docking and withdrawal, and read Container Pallet Messages (CPM) and Loading Instruction Reports (LIR).
• Mentor new recruits and ensure compliance with all safety, health and security policies.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education.
• Valid LTA Class 3 driving licence or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain an Airfield Driving Permit after completing internal training and passing the required tests.
• Willingness to complete Passenger Loading Bridge and advanced driving courses as required.
