R&D Engineer – Product Development

About the role

The R&D Engineer will lead product development of isolation components used in automotive and industrial applications. You will be responsible for defining, designing, testing and characterising new semiconductor isolation products, working closely with cross‑functional teams to bring concepts to high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Define product specifications, design architecture and conduct comprehensive testing and characterisation of new isolation devices.
• Run R&D programmes together with IC design, test, process, product, quality, manufacturing and contract‑manufacturing teams.
• Plan and execute engineering projects that improve manufacturing yield, quality and reliability.
• Analyse product yield data, investigate failures and perform root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering with at least 7 years of semiconductor R&D product development experience.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving abilities and proven ability to collaborate in cross‑functional environments.
• Experience leading NPI projects from verification to soft‑launch is a plus.

Required skills

• Analog design, opto‑electronics design, and/or power MOSFET design.
• Semiconductor product characterisation, yield analysis, bench‑test setup and ATE testing.
• Statistical analysis tools for volume data and semiconductor physical failure analysis.
