About the role
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees at Alvarez & Marsal. This role ensures a professional and welcoming experience while supporting day‑to‑day office operations.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients, candidates, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Serve coffee, tea, and refreshments to clients and guests.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries, directing them appropriately.
- Maintain visitor logs, issue visitor passes, and coordinate meeting room access.
- Keep reception and common areas presentable at all times.
- Manage meeting room bookings and support meeting logistics such as refreshments and basic setup.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and deliveries.
- Provide general administrative support to consulting and corporate teams as required.
- Maintain office stationery and pantry supplies; liaise with vendors as needed.
- Support office policies and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with onboarding logistics for new joiners, including access passes and desk setup coordination.
- Coordinate with building management and service providers for front‑office matters.
Required profile
- Professional and friendly communication skills.
- Strong phone and email etiquette.
- Welcoming and assisting clients and visitors.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and effective time management.
- Presentable appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior receptionist or front‑desk experience preferred, especially in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams.
