Regional Tax Executive

About the role

The Regional Tax Executive is a key member of Vitol's APAC Tax team, supporting Regional Tax Managers with indirect tax compliance and the automation of tax systems across the region. The role also assists with direct tax and transfer pricing compliance when required and acts as a liaison between tax, IT and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate tax technology solutions, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and test/implement enhancements.
• Participate in implementation projects for in‑house tax engines and new e‑invoicing schemes.
• Identify and triage tax issues raised by users, working with IT to resolve root causes.
• Support tax risk management for APAC, focusing on Singapore entities, and design process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement tax process changes and provide training.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of direct and indirect tax processes and internal controls.
• Assist in preparing tax schedules, compliance reporting, and payments for GST, VAT, CIT, WHT, and transfer pricing.
• Prepare monthly tax provisions for Singapore entities and respond to tax authority information requests.

Required profile

• Experience supporting tax compliance and reporting for APAC entities, especially Singapore.
• Knowledge of indirect taxes (GST, VAT) and direct taxes (CIT, WHT, transfer pricing).
• Proven ability to work with IT teams on tax system integration and automation.
• Experience in tax risk management and process optimisation.
• Ability to collaborate with external tax agents and consultants.
