About the role
The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU seeks a Research Assistant to support a multidisciplinary project on active commuting, health communication, and behavioural change in Singapore. The role involves data collection, analysis, project administration, and dissemination of findings.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test, and administer research instruments such as surveys, focus‑group guides, and experimental materials.
- Support IRB applications, amendments, and related documentation.
- Assist with project administration including procurement, budgeting, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with vendors, collaborators, platforms, and participants for recruitment and fieldwork.
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data, perform data cleaning, coding, and quality control.
- Conduct preliminary analyses and visualise data using SPSS, R, or Excel.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Help draft manuscripts, conference papers, and other dissemination materials.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, psychology, public health, social sciences, behavioural science, data science, or a related field.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and participant recruitment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
