Research Assistant – Computational Analysis (Oncology)

About the role
The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at NTU Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant to support biomedical research using computational methods. The position will focus on designing and implementing a computational pipeline for oncology projects, translating biological questions into actionable data analyses.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a computational pipeline to support oncology research.
- Collaborate with life‑science researchers to understand biological problems and define analysis plans.
- Execute analysis workflows, interpret results, and generate clear reports.
- Manage research data in compliance with data‑policy requirements.
- Contribute to the development of new computational methods and systems.
Required profile
- BSc or MSc in Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Computational Science or a related field.
- Experience handling biological datasets.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with medical and scientific teams.
- Customer‑focused attitude toward collaborative research.
Required skills
- Programming ability in at least one language (e.g., Python, R, Java).
- Understanding of computational infrastructure and its maintenance.
