About the role
The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to the development of copper nanoparticle (NanoCu) paste for use as a thermal interface material. The role involves hands‑on laboratory work within an interdisciplinary research environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise the formulation and processing of NanoCu paste.
- Characterise the thermal and physical properties of the paste using appropriate analytical techniques.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, manage supplies, and coordinate procurement with external vendors.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation summarising research findings.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least one year of hands‑on experience in materials processing or characterisation.
Required skills
- Materials processing techniques.
- Materials characterisation methods.
- Laboratory equipment maintenance and operation.
