About the role
NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to join a university-level research centre collaborating with industry. The successful candidate will take part in a project related to object detection.
Key responsibilities
- Take part in lab work and support data-efficient object detection using techniques such as few-shot learning, transfer learning and image synthesis.
- Help prepare technical documentation, reports and research publications as required by the funding body or for sharing with the wider academic community.
- Carry out any other duties relevant to the research programme.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree (or near completion) in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of machine learning and computer vision principles.
- Interest in research and willingness to learn and explore new concepts.
- Good communication skills, able to work independently and in a team; strong motivation and initiative.
Required skills
- Familiarity with Python.
- At least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras.
