Research Assistant – RNA Therapeutics & AI Integration

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our cutting‑edge laboratory at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. The role focuses on advancing RNA therapeutic discovery and integrating experimental data with artificial‑intelligence models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead wet‑lab experiments to scale high‑throughput screening of RNA therapeutics.
• Design, execute, and analyse chemical synthesis protocols to generate high‑quality datasets for AI model training.
• Mentor junior lab members and ensure best laboratory practices.
• Collaborate with AI scientists, engineers, and other multidisciplinary researchers.
• Stay updated on the latest advances in RNA therapeutics and contribute to methodological improvements.
• Present research findings to academic and industry stakeholders in regular meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a strong team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate hypotheses, design experiments and conduct innovative research.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to novel scientific approaches.
