Research Assistant – Vat Photopolymerization

About the role

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) at NTU seeks a Research Assistant to develop a 4D printable wearable device for orthodontics. The role focuses on fabricating the wearable using vat photopolymerization, from resin preparation to final product evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate 3D‑printed prototypes using vat photopolymerization.
• Formulate photopolymer resin formulations.
• Design CAD models and run FEM simulations.
• Perform quality assurance and material characterization of printed parts.
• Optimize prototypes by adjusting material and process parameters.
• Document research activities in technical reports.
• Manage laboratory activities, administrative tasks, and logistics.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the team.
• Experience with 3D printing, preferably vat photopolymerization (e.g., digital light processing).
