Research Assistant/Associate - Climate and Health Research

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is seeking a Research Assistant or Research Associate to support patient and public involvement (PPI) in climate and health research. The role ensures that public perspectives inform study design and communication, and involves developing and implementing climate-health communication strategies to improve understanding, relevance and trust. The lab focuses on psychological and behavioural factors influencing health, with a growing emphasis on climate change and environmental determinants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the database
• Coordinate communications with the community advisory group, the research team and participants
• Carry out literature searches and prepare manuscripts
• Collect data using mixed methods
• Perform statistical analyses and evidence synthesis
• Draft progress reports and the final research report
• Handle administrative work related to the research programme as necessary

Required profile

• BSc (for Research Assistant) or MSc (for Research Associate) in psychology, social sciences or a health-related discipline
• Solid foundation in mixed-method analysis
• Familiarity with the principles of Public and Patient Involvement in Research
• Initiative and very good interpersonal communication skills
• Desired: prior experience in community work
