Research Associate - Computer Vision and AI

About the role

NTU is looking for a Research Associate to carry out research for the project "Manual Assembly Job Quality Inspection". The role focuses on developing and integrating AI algorithms for object and defect detection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop artificial intelligence technologies to perform object and defect detection.
• Integrate the developed algorithms into the system.
• Oversee the project budget and coordinate the procurement and maintenance of equipment.
• Mentor and give academic guidance to students.
• Prepare and compile project reports.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in computer vision, artificial intelligence or similar.
• Prior publication experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organisational and time management skills, able to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and Python.
• Deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of imaging and computing devices and equipment.
