About the role
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Associate / Research Assistant to support investigations into autonomous vehicles and their interaction with path users on public pathways. The role involves designing, building, and operating experimental test rigs for both laboratory and field studies.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and conduct mechanical experiments and field tests.
- Assemble components, integrate sensors and actuators into mechatronic systems.
- Develop and maintain data acquisition hardware and software.
- Collect, process, and analyse experimental data.
- Document procedures, results, and research outputs.
Required profile
- B.Eng or M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality research.
