Research Associate – Pedagogy & Practice (6‑month contract)

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) seeks a Research Associate to support a 6‑month project on healthy ageing and well‑being of middle‑aged and older adults. The role is part‑time (50%) and focuses on flexible research activities, data collection, and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on adult learning, gerontology, and sport‑based programmes.
• Manage data collection processes, including participant recruitment and survey administration.
• Perform data cleaning, coding, and statistical analysis.
• Contribute to the drafting of research papers, reports, and conference abstracts.
• Provide administrative support and assist the Principal Investigator with other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in adult learning, gerontology, or health‑related research.
• Excellent organisational and written communication abilities.
