About the role

The Energy Research Institute at NTU seeks a Research Fellow to advance scientific research and technological innovation in sustainable and advanced building technologies.

Key responsibilities

Support research activities and project management.
Produce research outputs such as reports, publications, and presentations.
Coordinate stakeholders across research projects.
Assist in strategic development and securing research funding.
Manage research data and documentation.

Required profile

PhD in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant scientific or hands‑on experience in building energy/power system control and optimisation.
Familiarity with building automation and control (BAC) systems, AI and machine‑learning applications.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

Power system modelling.
Advanced control theory (e.g., model‑predictive control).
Data‑driven modelling and control methods (e.g., reinforcement learning, transfer learning).
Programming proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Modelica, C, and Fortran.
