Research Fellow – Digital & Landscape Design

About the role
The Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore seeks a Research Fellow to contribute to an interdisciplinary project on urban ecosystem services. The role involves advancing digital and landscape design methods and creating decision‑support tools for sustainable urban planning.
Key responsibilities
- Assess landscape performance across visual, spatial and functional dimensions.
- Apply geospatial and image‑based analysis techniques to urban data.
- Develop digital decision‑support tools that inform landscape design decisions.
- Support project coordination, reporting and delivery of research outcomes.
Required profile
- PhD in Landscape Architecture, Computer Science, Data Science or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with point‑cloud analysis or real‑time object tracking.
- Proficiency in programming and data‑driven design workflows.
- Background in tool development and visualization (preferred).
- Strong problem‑solving and project‑management abilities.
