Research Fellow – Mathematical Modeling of Macromolecular Assembly

About the role

The School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance mathematical modeling of macromolecular assembly and related biochemical studies. You will join an interdisciplinary team investigating actin remodeling, biomolecular phase separation, and mechanosensing in walled cells such as yeast, fungi, and plants.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize single‑molecule and super‑resolution imaging to study macromolecular complexes.
• Perform quantitative protein biochemistry, including purification, interaction assays, and functional analysis of cytoskeleton regulators.
• Conduct systems‑biology research on cell signaling pathways.
• Execute large‑scale signaling or protein‑interactome analyses.
• Apply machine‑learning techniques for biological data mining and protein structural analysis.

Required profile

• PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular and cell biology, biological sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in relevant fields.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
