Resident Architect

About the role

Aedas, a global architecture design practice, is seeking a Resident Architect to lead on‑site architectural supervision for projects in Singapore. The role involves ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect architectural works on‑site to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and the project team on site matters and technical issues.
• Review and monitor shop drawings, material submissions and method statements.
• Ensure works are executed according to project quality standards and timelines.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies, site issues and construction challenges.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on architectural progress.
• Monitor workmanship and enforce safety and environmental standards.
• Assist in resolving RFIs and site instructions.
• Support inspections, testing and commissioning processes.
• Maintain proper documentation, site records and progress reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Registered Architect with the Board of Architects Singapore.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, including prior experience as a Resident Architect or similar site‑based role in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of local codes and regulations.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
