Resident Architect – Site Supervision

About the role

Aedas, a global architecture and design practice, is seeking a Resident Architect to lead on‑site supervision of its projects in Singapore. The role involves ensuring that architectural works are executed in line with approved designs, specifications and local regulations while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect architectural works on‑site to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and the project team on technical and site matters.
• Review and monitor shop drawings, material submissions and method statements.
• Ensure works meet project quality standards and timelines.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies, site issues and construction challenges.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on architectural progress.
• Monitor workmanship, safety and environmental compliance.
• Assist in resolving RFIs and site instructions, and support inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain proper documentation and site records.
• Track contractor progress and report to the project team.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
• Registered Architect with the Board of Architects Singapore.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including prior experience as a Resident Architect or similar site‑based role in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
