Resident Technical Officer - PSS

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a Resident Technical Officer for its Public Sector Projects Group (PSS) in Singapore. The role covers site supervision and compliance, quality assurance and control, and safety and risk management across multiple roadworks and tunnel works sites.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all site works by the SPPG main contractor comply with SPPG contracts, authorities' regulations, codes and standards
• Attend to multiple roadworks or tunnel works sites and inspect and monitor civil construction works
• Witness and verify site measurements and electrical tests
• Monitor work progress against the approved schedule
• Monitor ongoing works to ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and identify and address non-conformities
• Promote and enforce safety regulations and risk management procedures, and promptly report and document incidents, hazards and technical failures
• Act as the primary point of contact for authorities or public feedback, and represent the organisation in meetings, audits and inspections as needed
• Assist the Engineer with site coordination duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure projects, including construction supervision and management
• Familiarity with local construction regulations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with contractors, subcontractors, client representatives and other stakeholders
