Retail Acquisition Executive – Singapore

About the role

The SG SBS Business Development team is looking for an entrepreneurial and analytical Retail Acquisition Executive to expand our FMCG supplier base in Singapore. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding high‑quality suppliers while ensuring compliance with import, regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to identify, qualify and onboard new FMCG suppliers aligned with assortment growth plans.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, minimum order quantities, contractual terms and partnership agreements.
• Conduct market and supplier landscape analysis to uncover high‑potential brands and assess opportunity size.
• Evaluate supplier SKU portfolios to prioritize sourcing efforts and support commercial decisions.
• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding, including shipping, customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure all products meet local import regulations, labeling, certifications and food‑safety standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify process improvements and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, operations, legal and category management teams for seamless execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related field.
• Prior experience in retail acquisition, sourcing, procurement or category management within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of import/export processes, customs regulations and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proven analytical skills to assess costs, margins and commercial viability.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and project‑management capabilities.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, growth‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
• Experience with regulatory compliance for food‑related products.
