Retail Sales Associate – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to deliver high‑quality customer service and sales support in a store environment. You will guide shoppers through their purchase journey, recommend suitable products, and create a positive in‑store experience that drives loyalty and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, identify their needs, and suggest appropriate products or services.
• Explain product features, promotions, and benefits; handle objections and close sales.
• Process POS transactions, manage cash and electronic payments, issue receipts, and handle returns or exchanges.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, visual merchandising standards, and promotional displays.
• Support inventory checks, stock replenishment, pricing updates, and overall store appearance.
• Collect customer feedback, update CRM records, and use digital retail tools to track performance.
• Collaborate with store management, merchandising, marketing, and other teams to meet sales targets.

Required profile

• Diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Retail Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience in a customer‑facing retail sales role (e.g., Sales Consultant, Store Sales Executive, Sales Advisor).
• Strong understanding of consultative selling, product presentation, promotions, and basic inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve individual and store‑level sales targets through cross‑selling and upselling.

Required skills

• Experience operating POS systems and processing transactions.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and inventory management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of mobile retail applications, digital payment solutions, and customer loyalty platforms.
