Retail Store Development Project Manager – Singapore

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Construction Project Manager to lead the development, renovation and refurbishment of retail stores across the Asia‑Pacific region, primarily in Singapore. The role will ensure projects align with the Group’s growth objectives, brand standards and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Group’s store development strategy and create comprehensive project plans for new openings and renovations.
• Oversee project preparation and execution, monitoring timelines, quality standards, budgets and brand compliance, and flag risks with alternative solutions.
• Ensure all project and warranty activities comply with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, track and manage project budgets throughout the lifecycle.
• Own the tendering process, ensuring fairness, transparency and adherence to procurement policies.
• Support evaluation and contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Collaborate with the Design team to secure necessary documentation for local authorities, landlords and other regulators.
• Partner with Production & Procurement to drive cost efficiency, speed and consistency.
• Lead project planning meetings and improve communication processes.
• Evaluate project performance at store openings to optimise timelines, quality and spend.
• Work cross‑functionally with business units and the SDP team to foster collaboration.
• Understand basic M&E, fire safety and security requirements for retail environments in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of managerial experience overseeing store design, openings, renovations or maintenance projects, preferably in the retail sector.
• Strong time‑management, organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• High sense of responsibility, integrity and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
• Proven experience managing external vendors, contracts and improving performance.
• Solid commercial and financial understanding of capex finance functions.
