Retail Training Manager, SEA

About the role

The Retail Training Manager will report to the Retail Excellence Director for Southeast Asia and lead the design and delivery of learning programmes that enhance product knowledge, selling skills, client experience and leadership across the region’s boutiques.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver retail training initiatives covering brand and product knowledge, selling ceremonies and luxury client experience, tailored to regional business needs.
• Inspire and motivate the SEA field sales force through in‑store, virtual and digital learning sessions, driving action plans for retail excellence.
• Partner with Merchandising to provide collection training that highlights product craftsmanship, heritage and storytelling.
• Design onboarding and induction programmes to integrate new employees into the Maison’s culture and service standards.
• Coordinate regional training calendars, schedule sessions and conduct regular in‑store coaching on selling behaviours, CRM use, clienteling and visual merchandising.
• Establish KPIs, monitor participation, mystery‑shopping results and retail performance data to evaluate training impact and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with regional retail leaders, HR, store managers and subject‑matter experts to align learning initiatives with commercial priorities.
• Coach store managers on team development through product briefings, coaching sessions and daily training practices.
• Continuously innovate training methodologies to meet evolving regional needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field; luxury retail experience is a plus.
• 5–7 years of experience in retail training or learning & development, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Strong understanding of luxury retail operations and client‑experience standards.
• Proven ability to manage regional training programmes across multiple markets.
• Excellent analytical abilities to assess training effectiveness and business impact.
