Sales Director – APAC Banking

About the role

Thought Machine is seeking a Sales Director to lead new‑business acquisition across the largest banks in the APAC region. You will own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure long‑term client success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver proposals that address the strategic priorities of Tier 1 APAC banks.
• Build multi‑level relationships with executive sponsors, influencers and decision‑makers.
• Consistently exceed annual sales targets for software licensing and professional services.
• Partner with top‑of‑funnel teams to design and execute targeted campaigns for Tier 1 financial institutions.
• Generate and prioritize pipeline opportunities, focusing on high‑probability deals.
• Understand regulatory and transformation challenges of Tier 1 banks and collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to deliver relevant solutions.

Required profile

• Proven track record of selling complex software solutions to large banking institutions.
• Deep knowledge of the APAC banking landscape, including regulatory environments.
• Strong executive‑level communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive strategic, long‑term engagements.
