Sales Director – Public Services

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Director to expand TCS’s footprint in Singapore’s public and government sector. The role involves leading business development initiatives, building strategic partnerships, and closing high‑value contracts with public‑sector stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients and partners within the public sector.
• Generate leads through personal and professional networks and targeted research.
• Shape and execute deal strategies to win long‑tail business.
• Follow TCS’s business development process and manage the sales pipeline.
• Identify small‑investment opportunities and develop client‑specific solutions.
• Leverage existing networks and cultivate new relationships to influence buying decisions.
• Build relationships with influencers, decision‑makers and CXOs.
• Achieve annual strategic objectives, goals, targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• 17‑20+ years of total experience, including 12‑15+ years in business development, sales or account management within the public sector or government.
• Proven track record of winning and negotiating large contracts.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Extensive consultative sales experience in the public sector.
• Management experience directing bid teams and motivating cross‑functional groups.
• Experience marketing to buying organisations within target accounts.
• Graduate with 17+ years of post‑qualification experience.
• Experience working with offshore delivery, solutions and practice teams.
• Ability to conduct customer workshops and shape requirements.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on both technology and people solutions.
