Sales Engineer

About the role

A technology solutions provider serving customers across Singapore and the ASEAN region is looking for a Sales Engineer to support business growth and customer engagement. The role combines technical knowledge with sales and account management, suits engineering-trained professionals who enjoy working with customers, and is onsite in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow new business opportunities within assigned markets and industries
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Carry out prospecting, including cold calling, lead generation and customer visits
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions
• Prepare quotations, proposals and sales reports
• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and application advice
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for project execution
• Monitor market trends and identify business opportunities

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Photonics Engineering or a related discipline
• Prior experience in technical sales, sales engineering or customer-facing engineering roles preferred; fresh graduates with a strong interest in sales may be considered
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with business development and customer acquisition
• Good technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and occasional business trips within the region
