Sales Engineer - Japan Market (Japanese Speaking)

About the role

A leading innovative solution provider in the construction and civil engineering industry, recruited through Timeo-Performance, is hiring a Sales Engineer to develop its Japan market. The role reports directly to the CEO and involves managing existing accounts while meeting customer acquisition and revenue growth targets through the execution of the commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the sales team's activities and achieve growth and sales targets
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet corporate growth objectives
• Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understand customer needs and identify decision makers
• Engage with prospect stakeholders such as end users, the IT department and top management
• Manage customer accounts and propose improvements to strengthen loyalty
• Work with local partners and with the services team on proposals involving technical solutions, marketing information and pricing
• Identify prospects, new opportunities and shifts in the market, and monitor competitors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
• 5 to 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or business development in construction, civil engineering or property development
• At least 2 years of software enterprise sales of complex solutions
• Fluent Japanese is a must
• Strong business sense, results-driven, able to communicate and influence at all levels of the customer organisation, agile and tenacious
• Availability to travel when needed
