Sales Manager (Pumps) – Singapore & Malaysia

About the role

A pump manufacturer that designs, manufactures and produces centrifugal pumps and systems is recruiting a Sales Manager to develop its business in Singapore and Malaysia. The Sales Manager manages key and general accounts in the water, wastewater, industrial, desalination and related sectors, building close relationships with end users, contractors and consultants from project start to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Generate business opportunities in Singapore and Malaysia
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations
• Provide technical support on pump selection and operation before orders are placed
• Attend technical and commercial clarification meetings and negotiate contracts
• Maintain customer contact until project completion and liaise with other departments to improve customer service
• Act as Framework Manager for key customers: prepare framework submissions, attend framework meetings and run framework tenders
• Deliver technical presentations and collect market intelligence on competition and the market

Required profile

• Extensive experience selling pumps, compressors or other rotating machinery
• Experience of pump selection and operation, including system interaction
• Extensive knowledge of the water industry, its key clients and contacts
• Risk management skills and experience
• Ability to make timely decisions under pressure
• Highly self-motivated and autonomous
