Sector Coverage Intern - Global Corporate Banking

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Sector Coverage Intern for its Global Corporate Banking Division, Asia - Sector Coverage Department, based in Singapore. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and sits within the Sector Coverage team of Global Corporate and Investment Banking. You will work alongside Sector Coverage specialists to help deliver an integrated client experience across industries.

Key responsibilities

• Gain an all-round view of MUFG's products and services offered to clients.
• Experience the deal life cycle, including origination, business proposals, deal execution and post-deal monitoring.
• Prepare pitch books to support sector-based thematic dialogue, origination of financing mandates and strategic financing discussions with corporate and financial sponsor clients.
• Support senior team members in financing transactions such as credit analysis, structuring, financial modelling, valuation analysis, peer analysis and ratings analysis.
• Learn from experienced stakeholders and product teams such as Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Project Finance, Global Markets, Capital Markets Group and Transaction Banking.
• Develop presentation and communication skills by presenting projects and case studies to business partners and management.

Required profile

• Keen interest in the finance industry with relevant prior internship experience.
• Action-oriented, energetic and entrepreneurial, with strong communication and influencing skills.
• Collaborative approach with eagerness to learn, strong ethical behaviour and alignment with MUFG's core values.
• Sector understanding in one or more of Mobility, Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, Technology, Media and Telecom, Real Estate, Energy, Metals and Resources, Renewables, Utilities, Infrastructure and Transportation is positive.
• Open to Singaporean and PR students only; the internship is based in Singapore.
