Senior Accountant – APAC Data Centre Operations

About the role

The APAC Accounting & Reporting team at ByteDance is seeking a Senior Accountant based in Singapore to support the financial accounting and reporting for the Group's APAC data centre operations. The role focuses on revenue and receivables cycle closing, month‑end and quarter‑end reporting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination across regional entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting and reporting for APAC entities, with emphasis on revenue and receivables closing.
• Post journal entries and ensure smooth monthly and quarterly closings.
• Prepare trial balances and full financial statements accurately and on time.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and related tasks.
• Liaise with external auditors, managing the full audit cycle and meeting reporting deadlines.
• Provide financial data to support tax submissions and assist in tax inspections.
• Prepare data for government declarations and other statutory filings.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FSSC, and other finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, including system enhancements and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in a professional services firm with strong knowledge of accounting and reporting across SEA.
• Well‑versed in IFRS and familiar with financial and compliance regulations across the APAC region.
• Proven experience in month‑end closing, analytical reviews, and preparation of full sets of accounts.
• Basic knowledge of tax requirements and regulatory compliance across SEA countries.
• Familiarity with financial internal controls, system implementation, and process optimisation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills, with proficiency in Mandarin.
