Senior AI-Native Software Engineer

About the role

At Palo IT, senior engineers are expected to be AI‑Native by default. As a Senior AI‑Native Engineer (Software), you will lead the development of complex features and modules while guiding team members on technical decisions and AI‑assisted development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex features, modules, and components using AI‑powered approaches.
• Design high‑performance, scalable solutions and ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and AI‑assisted analysis.
• Implement CI/CD automation pipelines and establish best practices for performance and quality.
• Use generative AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as first‑class assistants for code generation, optimisation, and problem‑solving.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and guide technical decisions in partnership with Tech Leads and Architects.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high‑quality solutions and contribute to internal playbooks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Deep technological expertise with experience in solution architecture and team leadership.
• Proven track record delivering scalable, reliable, and secure applications.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants and strong understanding of prompt‑engineering principles.

Required skills

• ReactJS (frontend)
• NodeJS, Java, or Python (backend)
• GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI coding assistants
• CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP
• Prompt engineering and AI output validation
