Senior Assistant Manager / Manager, Planning & Procurement (Contract)

About the role

NUHS is looking for a Senior Assistant Manager / Manager, Planning & Procurement on a contract basis. The role supports the department's objective of centralising procurement and contract management by developing cost-effective contracting strategies, managing sourcing processes and ensuring procurement outcomes deliver value, efficiency and compliance. It works closely with the Team Lead and hospital stakeholders to turn requirements into commercially sound approaches, supporting operational needs and redevelopment projects, especially high-value and complex procurements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan procurement activities and develop contracting strategies to optimise cost, improve efficiency and maximise value.
• Execute procurement for FFE projects and BAU items, ensuring timeliness and compliance.
• Draft, review and manage scope/specifications, evaluation criteria, RFPs and contracts, and coordinate procurement with the procurement agent.
• Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policy and approval processes.
• Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation and supplier information.
• Take part in process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Advise other departments on their non-centralised procurement and contracts, covering requirements, timelines, TCO and sourcing strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years' experience in procurement, commercial or contract management, or supply chain management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous, with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Experience in workflow automation or familiarity with AI tools is advantageous.
