Senior Assistant Manager/Manager, Library (LKCMedicine)

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at NTU Novena Campus is recruiting a Senior Assistant Manager/Manager, Library. The role manages the strategic development and delivery of an information literacy programme that supports learning, teaching and research, and leads professional services covering the full research lifecycle, from planning and discovery to publication, impact and archiving.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive information literacy programme through in-person and online instruction, workshops and consultations
• Train users on advanced search strategies, literature reviews, the research process, reference management tools and academic writing
• Work with faculty to embed information literacy in the curriculum, supporting methods such as Team-Based Learning (TBL)
• Manage and promote the library's collections of books, journals and electronic databases
• Create and share instructional materials such as online tutorials, learning activities, interactive tools and print guides
• Promote scholarly communication services including author rights, open access and research impact
• Lead the search service for faculty and researchers
• Monitor trends, user feedback and institutional policy to improve library operations
• Assist in daily library operations, which may include supervising support staff and administrative tasks, and lead assigned projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree plus a master's in Library or Information Science, or an equivalent postgraduate qualification recognised by the Library Association of Singapore
• At least 5 years of experience in a tertiary, research or medical library
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Strong independent learning and organisational and time management skills
• Adaptable to technological change and able to relate well to users and colleagues
