Senior Associate, Actuarial Services - Life Insurance

About the role

PwC's Actuarial Services line offers life insurance advisory and consulting to clients such as insurers, reinsurers, regulators and third-party administrators. The Senior Associate position sits in a team of 20+ actuarial professionals in Singapore and 200+ across Asia, advising on solvency, economic capital, risk management, M&A, restructuring, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation and claims or reporting efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide life insurance actuarial advisory services
• Support seasonal audit projects as needed
• Help clients deliver professional advice on life insurance projects
• Contribute to presentations, proposals and actuarial reports

Required profile

• 3+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance with an insurer, consulting firm or financial services organisation
• Good progress towards an internationally recognised actuarial qualification
• Degree in a relevant field (not specified)
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects and changing priorities, and build relationships with team members and clients

Required skills

• Depth of experience in core life insurance actuarial areas such as reserving, ERM, valuation experience, capital modelling, reinsurance and regulatory reporting (ORSA, FCR, ICAAP, IFRS17, RBC)
• Excellent MS Office knowledge
• Familiarity with actuarial modelling software is desirable but not essential
