Senior Associate, LS1 Engineering

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate, LS1 Engineering to drive machine performance and process optimization in its Singapore manufacturing site. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to implement technical improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing processes and lead OEE improvement initiatives through daily monitoring and long‑term projects.
• Provide timely technical support during major operational downtime events for 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Manage documentation and compliance activities, including Change Requests, non‑conformances, CAPEX, and procedure updates.
• Support equipment commissioning, optimization, and qualification/validation, including change management.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for critical equipment and processes, providing audit support.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to drive technical improvements and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality, and safety standards.

Required profile

• A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Knowledge in packaging, mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering.
• Proven experience managing projects and driving process improvements in advanced manufacturing.
• Experience with equipment, electrical, or mechanical work is a plus.
• Familiarity with contact lens or optics manufacturing is advantageous but not required.
