Senior Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of automation solutions within our food‑ingredient manufacturing operations in Boon Lay, Singapore. The role will support our mission to deliver high‑quality cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts and spice ingredients while ensuring sustainable and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated control systems for processing lines, including PLC programming, SCADA integration and data acquisition.
• Lead projects that improve equipment reliability, throughput and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – production, quality, maintenance – to translate process requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards throughout automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale automation projects.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural setting.
