Senior Business Analyst – Tax Regulatory Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to act as the bridge between banking tax teams and IT developers. You will ensure that our systems meet the complex requirements of tax regulatory reporting, supporting private banking operations across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse functional requirements for German Tax, Client Tax Statement Reporting, AEOI/CRS, FATCA and IRS 871m.
• Write detailed functional specifications (DFS), general functional specifications (GFS) and user stories, and validate them with development teams.
• Collaborate with product owners, other business analysts and cross‑functional squads on multi‑system features and interfaces.
• Support developers during design, unit testing and system integration testing (SIT), and review test strategies and results.
• Assist UAT activities, reproduce issues, monitor fixes and ensure smooth production rollout.
• Provide governance, security and architecture follow‑up, and act as liaison between project managers and technology teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in banking IT, with at least 5 years focused on regulatory topics.
• Strong knowledge of private banking operations and financial products.
• Proven ability to work with large, distributed IT teams and manage complex projects.
• Highly analytical, capable of diagnosing problems and recommending solutions.

Required skills

• Experience with tax regulatory frameworks: German Tax, FATCA, CRS/AEOI, IRS 871m.
• Ability to produce DFS, GFS and user stories.
• Familiarity with SIT, UAT and production support processes.
